The Two Brother's Rocks site was basking in the warmth of the afternoon sun and a short visit was enjoyed...
This board explains the location's significance...
At the Route 4 bridge (Nashua Rd.) in Billerica, I turned around for the trip back to Bedford.
My trash haul of 79 posed hullside...
It brokedown as: 50 recyclable containers (31 redeemable) and 29 pieces of miscellaneous rubbish such as styrofoam, plastic bags, fishing gear, and a headless duck decoy. YTD total = 6113.
Here are 2 photos of more egregious trash left at the launch site. This photo shows pretended ignorance...
The receptacle is clearly labeled for monofilament fishing line only.
This photo shows where someone criminally dumped 6 bags of household trash near the base of a sign clearly forbidding such dumping...
Four of the bags can be seen, partially submerged, and they were pulled back from the water. Hopefully, the Bedford DPW will be able to remove the remaining trash before the river rises again

Back in Boston, our neighborhood used to be able to go through improperly-dumped trash bags to try to get an ID of the owner. Was hit-or-miss, but occasionally managed to catch someone. Just wish there was a simple way to trace garbage back to the miscreants who dumped it.
The headless duck could be fixed with some duc tape assuming you could find its head. The brainless(?) folks who dumped household trash in or near the river, well not sure what's needed there. Guess there is an ugly duckling in every bunch or raft. http://litterwithastorytotell.blogspot.com/2011/04/why-are-we-tolerant-of-trash.html
