Concord River Shore Patrol in Bedford

This morning I returned to the Bedford Boat Ramp near where Route 225 crosses over the Concord River.  My objective, pictured at left, was the 6 bags of household trash I'd seen there on Tuesday afternoon.  At that time, I didn't have enough bags to contain the mess and subsequently notified the Bedford DPW about the dumping.  However, realizing that the DPW is most likely tied up with post-storm cleanup, I decided to take care of this mess myself.
After separating recyclables from rubbish, I was left with these 2 piles...

After counting and bagging, the site looked like this...

There were 82 recyclable containers and 170 pieces of miscellaneous rubbish.  YTD total = 6415

Unfortunately, there was no evidence indicating the identity of the culprit.

Come to think of it, I do recall seeing a red VW microbus in the area.

The pocked marks on her face left her shameful, until one day a honorable man came by. The man's heart pained to see such a beautiful maiden dispirited and scorned. Who could have done this to her, but it was no matter. He took the task as his own. Over the days he removed the blemishes to uncover a most beautiful, refreshing and natural scene. Thereafter, he named her nature for all her natural beauty.

Thank You Al for bringing us along your journeys and adventures.
