This afternoon's paddle down the Sudbury River produced little in the way of trash...until arriving at Heath's Bridge (at left). This innocent looking bridge seems to be a magnet for attracting litter of the hide and seek variety. If you look closely enough, you'll find it.
I'd launched at the Lincoln Canoe Launch and enjoyed the last bits of sunshine before clouds advanced from the west. Enroute downriver I encountered these 2 well equipped fishermen who reported having a successful day...
On the way back upriver I encountered another fish catcher patiently waiting under the flowering buttonbush...
The haul from Heath's Bridge posed on the small beach there...
There were 33 recyclable containers (22 redeemable) and 21 pieces of miscellaneous rubbish. Almost all of this was found either under the bridge or along the shore in the weeds. YTD = 3678
