Got out on a breezy Nashua River yesterday launching from Petapawag in Groton, MA. We've certainly had a surplus of windy days so far this year. Many of the river's reptiles were out and about such as these three who look ready to take on all comers......and, at another spot, a northern water snake perhaps hunting along the rocks...
This unfortunate carp was still barely alive but unable to stay upright...
An old and tired culvert which once supported the weight of trains plying the Boston and Maine Railroad's Brookline and Pepperell branch. It was most likely built back in 1892...
A small haul of trash included a baker's dozen of "nip" bottles...
