Slug of Sewage Passing Through

 

The sign no boater wants to see at the boat launch.  The above was posted at the Lincoln Canoe Launch off of Rt. 117.  Fortunately for me I'd been forewarned and was curious to see the wording of the actual Public Advisory.  Noted it was only in English.  I found it odd that the signs were posted at the bottom of the hill at water's edge rather than at the top...

...where it might have spared someone the effort of hauling their boat all the way down the hill, see the sign, and then haul it back up.  

With the fairly slow currents of late, I'll wait a little longer for this slug to work its way downriver.

In other news, the Massachusetts Legislative session came to an end with the lobbyists, er I mean legislators, taking no action on expanding our 1983 Bottle Bill once again.
