Crateful on the Concord

Only the first three words of the Egg Rock inscription were visible at the start of yesterday's paddle down the Concord River...

The April Fools Day rain/snow/sleet event helped raise the river higher than it's been in quite awhile.  It was a strange storm...featuring accumulating snow with a thermometer reading 36 degrees F, and then raining with the same thermometer reading 28 degrees F.

Post storm it was blue skies, trees, and water...

The Old North Bridge looks ready for the busy days ahead...

Floatable trash was on the move...

Congrats to the residents of Oregon who recently expanded their Bottle Bill to provide a 10 cent value to empty containers.  We here in Massachusetts coulda, shoulda, done that...but didn't.
