Real Sunny Bay

Finally enjoyed some sunny blue skies yesterday while paddling the Sudbury River's Fairhaven Bay.  Given today's weather forecast of rain and snow, it may well have been the sun's last appearance for the month of March.

Nonetheless, the rare dose of vitamin D was greatly appreciated by this paddler and I suspect by a fellow fishing from a Mad River Malecite canoe...the only other boater on the bay.

The stone boathouse stood guard over the bay's north end...

Had to look long and hard to find any remaining ice...
...found just a bit downstream of Martha's Point...

In one of the bay's sloughs this interesting bird's nest was laying on the shore...
...perhaps a Baltimore oriole's nest.

Near Lee's Bridge a beaver attended to some personal grooming...

The trash gathered up along the way...
