Enjoyed this view (to left) of Concord, NH this morning while participating in a New Hampshire Appalachian Mountain Club Paddlers Trash Patrol on the mighty Merrimack River.
At the boat launch event organizer, Denise Hurt, went over the patrol's objectives and safety issues with participants...
More than 400 pieces of trash were removed from the river and its shoreline between Loudon Road (to the south) and the Route 93 bridge across the river (to the north).
Post patrol, the haul was divided into recyclable and non-recyclable segments (roughly 50/50)...
