More Signs on the Sudbury

Paddled down the Sudbury River this warm and sunny afternoon from Sherman's Bridge in Wayland.  En route to Fairhaven Bay I saw more signs of our early spring such as: trees adorned with sap buckets (photo at left), the first sunbathing turtle of the season...
...saplings turning red...
...and a completely ice free Fairhaven Bay...

Several other kayaks were seen including this fast moving "Mohican"...

River level wasn't quite high enough for allowing access to Pantry Brook...


This guy had the best seat along the river today...

Very little trash was encountered...
...but included an empty "Lobster Compost" bag.  Who knew they made compost from lobsters?
